Call me a hypocrite - I know, because it only took me 3.5 years to to get active on The Forest’s Instagram account, and I went live with that before I launched TheForest.ie. BUT, this isn’t about me.
Your business is arguably one of the most important and time-consuming things in your life, and while you’re busy trying to work for your business selling your products and services and generating revenue, it’s hard to find time to manage your business online, whether that’s your social media or website, or both.
Social media is great, but your website is where the magic happens ✨️
I can’t stress enough how important it is for you to update your website regularly, keep it up-to-date with your most valuable information and use it as a place to drive high-value sales.
Here are some of our simple but effective tips to
👩💻 Add a blog post about industry trends, the benefits of your products or services, or some recently completed work.
📸 Add new images to a gallery or portfolio (and make sure to name them accordingly).
🆎️ Set aside some time to update your website copy - the words on your website that sell what you do to your ideal customers.
Taking time to update your website is great for SEO, and it ensures your new and potential customers see up-to-date information about your most lucrative offerings. It’s also an opportunity to reinforce to your customers why they should choose to do business with you instead of your competitors.
Take this as a gentle reminder to update your website copy this week and make it as much of a priority as you make your social media.
